Spear Points from Delaware, 4000 to 500 BCE

This is another old artifact photograph I just turned up, from a site in central Delaware I dug ten years ago. Across the top row are stemmed "pebble points," made from small cobbles of jasper, chert, and quartz. This form seems to have had a very long period of use in Delaware, from at least 3000 to 1000 BCE and possible 4000 to 500 BCE. In the bottom row are a rhyolite point, probably from the first millennium CE, and two crude chopping tools.
